With new additions to its expansive trail system, Windham Mountain Resort will embark on the 2013-14 winter season with nine more acres of skiable terrain. Two new trails, glades and two conveyor lifts bring the Resort’s total offerings to 52 trails on 278 skiable acres accessed by 12 lifts over the mountain’s 3100 vertical feet.

Skiers and riders of every ability will be able to enjoy the on-mountain expansion. While beginners will immediately see their new home on the terrain in front of the base lodge, intermediate and expert skiers will find new challenges on Windham Mountain’s West Peak.

Known for its stellar views and challenging terrain, the addition of a new trail and glades to the West Peak allows skiers and riders to inject variety into their routes down the mountain.

Windfall is a new intermediate trail that connects Wide Connection to Upper Wipeout. The new trail offers a less intimidating route between double black diamond trails, reserved for the most experienced and adventurous Windham Mountain skiers and riders.

Both Windfall and portions of Upper Wipeout have been outfitted with snowmaking to ensure the trails’ accessibility throughout the winter. And the four acres between Windfall and Upper Wipeout have created Whataride Glades:  a new challenging route for tree-skiing enthusiasts.

Beginners will enjoy one of the most functional and attractive learning areas anywhere in the country. Whisper Run offers two acres of beginner terrain with two conveyors lifts that lead guests back up to the base lodge. The spacious area offers a gentle slope for those learning the sport before moving onto the chairlift serviced beginner trails on the mountain-side.
