You’re cordially invited to Washington’s Headquarters State Historic Site’s Annual Winter Welcome Week, Thursday, December 27th until Saturday, December 29th, from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Tours will begin at 10:30 AM, taking place each half-hour. The last tour will begin at 2:30 PM. Admission to this winter school-break tradition is: $4.00 for adults, $3.00 for seniors and students and children 12 and under are free.

Visit the seasonally decorated rooms of the historic Hasbrouck House, used by General and Mrs.Washington during the yuletide of 1782, the last winter of the Revolutionary War. Hear how the Southern Washingtons coped with a Northern winter as you walk through the house’s history-laden rooms accompanied by a historic interpreter attired in 18th Century reproduction clothing.

Take some time, while visiting in the recently renovated museum, to see over 1,300 artifacts. Many of which have not been on view for a number of years. Also in the museum, children can make 18th Century-style hats to take home as a remembrance of the day.

Experience the rich history of the Hudson Valley while visiting the first publicly owned historic site in the nation – Washington’s Headquarters.
