Valley Restaurant, Winner of the “Best of the Hudson Valley” Awards,
Announces Winter Hours of Operation, beginning November 29th

Valley, the signature fine dining restaurant at The Garrison, will now be open year round to the public. The establishment of a winter dining schedule coincides with the announcement that Valley has won the 2013 “Best of the Hudson Valley” award, sponsored by Hudson Valley magazine, in the category of “Best Restaurant With a View.”

Valley, a critically-acclaimed contemporary restaurant which opened in 2004, is well-positioned on The Garrison’s 300-acre property to take advantage of the Hudson Highlands and Hudson River views.  Starting November 29, Valley will be open for dinner from Thursday through Saturday evenings from 5:00 – 9:00 pm. Additionally, brunch will be served on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm.

“The Garrison, and particularly the Valley restaurant, is known for its incomparable Hudson River views, impeccable service, and locally-sourced cuisine,” said Chip Allemann, The Garrison’s general manager. “Now that it’s open through the winter months, our customers and fans can enjoy award-winning views in every season.”

Previously open Spring through November, Valley features seasonal American cuisine showcasing fresh products from the property’s own Garrison Farm, as well as other regional farms. Under the direction of Executive Chef Vin Mocarski and Pastry Chef Laura DiGiorno, the winter 2014 menu will feature a winter menu.

Adjacent to Valley is the World’s End Bar, which features signature cocktails and beers, and serves a lounge menu of small plate fare. It will share the same winter hours of operation as Valley. Another eatery on The Garrison property, The Terrace Grill, is a casual outdoor restaurant serving lighter fare during the golf season.

The Garrison property also includes an 18-hole golf course, four-room country inn, salon, and a special event and wedding venue. Built in 1915 as Bill Brown’s Physical Training Farm, The Garrison – along with its sister property the Highlands Country Club – is now owned by Chris Davis.

The Garrison is located at 2015 US 9, Garrison, New York. More information is available online at www.TheGarrison.com, or by calling 845-424-3604.
