It’s tough to find rentals in Beacon, which is a real shame, considering the area is a hub for New Yorkers seeking the Hudson Valley experience. But where there’s a will there’s a way. A bit far from Main street, but you can stay in this wonderful spacious loft, situated by a creek and falls, a short trip away from Beacon. The rental is a shared loft, but you’re put up in a private bedroom at $155/night and the reviews are glowing. It’s not within walking distance of Beacon, so preferably drive up, but if you do take the train, taxis are ready and waiting. If you want to make it up this weekend, Beacon is having the always lively Second Saturday, wherein local art galleries open new exhibitions and the wine flows free. Otherwise dia: Beacon, mountains, rivers and great food are always happening. Even the rental itself seems enough to satisfy a lust for the great outdoors.
