A Family Event Open to the Community May 31st, 11 am to 3 pm

Primrose Hill School, a new school offering education inspired by the Waldorf philosophy of teaching, has opened its doors and is welcoming the public to a Spring Faire and Ribbon Cutting Family event at their unique eight-acre property in the village of Rhinebeck.

The day’s festivities will include: music, dancing, prizes, free food and more. Children’s activities include: sandbox treasure hunt, craft table, puppet show, hay pyramid and hayrides, and animal petting farm.

For many, the Faire will offer a fun-filled opportunity to explore Primrose Hill School for the first time, learn about the programs and speak to the parents and faculty. The school is currently enrolling Pre-K through 2nd Grade, with the intention of adding a grade each year up to grade 12.

Primrose Hill School is located off Route 9 in the Village of Rhinebeck across from the Dutchess County Fairgrounds. It’s set back off of the road, providing children with optimal access to the outdoors while remaining in a safe, loving and nurturing environment. The school is currently working on a Farm Initiative that will allow the children the opportunity to be part of a working farm, help with the animals and learn about vegetable gardening.

Primrose Hill School’s educational mission can best be summed up by the Socratic saying: “Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel.” The curriculum is designed to nurture the whole child and to foster a lifelong love of learning.

The Spring Faire Schedule:

11:15 & 12:15 – Puppet Show (limited seating)

11:45 – Presentation by the First Graders

1:00pm – Ribbon Cutting

1:30pm – Music and Dancing by the The Vanaver Caravan

Primrose Hill School offers education inspired by the Waldorf philosophy of teaching (www.WaldorfEarlyChildhood.org). It is one of the fastest growing alternative education movements internationally.

Primrose Hill School is located at 23 Spring Brook Park, Suite #2, Rhinebeck, NY 12572.
