Musical Concert and Photographic Exhibit in honor of Black History Month

In honor of Black History Month, the SUNY New Paltz Department of Music and the Poné Ensemble will present A Ride on the Underground Railroad on Sunday, February 10, 3:00 p.m. in the Julien J. Studley Theatre.  The concert will feature contemporary music as well as traditional spirituals.

In addition to David Hughey, Tenor, Nkeiru Okoye, Composer, and Sumayya Ali, Soprano, the concert will feature the Poné Ensemble for New Music, SUNY New Paltz Concert Choir and College-Community Chorale, the College Youth Symphony, the Newburgh Free Academy Choir, mezzo soprano Patrice Eaton, violinist Ashley Horne, and Maestro Harvey Felder.

There will also be a special exhibit of photographs on display created by Historic Huguenot Street.
