10389604_403747633118323_1123084302334965000_nIt’s snowing outside. It’s pretty. It’s peaceful. It’s an excuse to start planning early for the weekend. And glancing over at the calendar, it’s hard not to see: Valentine’s Day is 12–count ’em 12!–days away!

So, why not plan to make a gift for loved ones and home-bound loved ones with loved ones?

One place to start the love-gift-making this weekend is FiberFlame Studios in Rhinebeck. Through a fun, family-friendly workshop on 2/7, you can learn to make your own stamp and, leave it on a card or cloth or wherever.

You can spread a smile and share the love at Starr Library’s At Home program and the local Meals on Wheels*  group in Rhinebeck (by 2/10) and Kingston Candy Bar (by 2/4).

You can sing a song, record it and send it. You can create and dance a jig. You can make a bouquet or a collage of things found in nature. You can wrap up a I LOVE YOU. You can carve, you can knit, you can draw, you can take a picture, you can sew, you can make beer, you can bake, you can MAKE.

That’s alotta LOVE. Remember: what comes around goes around. And this is just the start. Feel free to add your own suggestion.

* Or choose a Meals-on-Wheels program near you to give a card.
