Discover Piermont – A Shopping & Dining Destination!

Piermont is Rockland Counties unique shopping and dining destination on the Hudson River. The village’s name in earlier years was known as Tappan Landing. Derived by combining a local natural feature – Tallman Mountain and the most prominent man-made feature of the village, the long Erie Railroad Pier. Piermont has  been a tourist attraction for day trippers from New York City and New Jersey as well as Westchester  for more than 50 years!

Today, trendy boutiques and unique outdoor cafes and restaurants set the charm for this unique destination. Presence of Piermont offers an unique gallery of gifts that include jewelry, home accents, kids clothing and great items for the little girl on your list.  Abercorn Place is a place to discover new  trendsetting designers from France, Israel, Canada and other European countries.  This is the place to shop to get that Soho look without traveling to NYC. In matter of fact, many of this shops’ cliental come from Rockland, Westchester and New Jersey for one of a kind looks from European designers!  Plus there’s unique jewelry too!  Ki Designs also offers her own label designs as well as European designers for that downtown look without traveling to NYC.   There’s several other trendy shops including Abigail Rose and Lily Too.

Town & Country Boondocks  has what you need for the cook and entertainer! From kitchen utensils, cookware, bake ware and gifts.  You’re sure to find something special.  Aubrey Flowers also offers unique gift items that are sure to make you or that someone special smile! Stroll through the several art galleries like Piermont Flywheel Gallery, Piermont Fine Arts, and Happy Dog Gallery for unique art.

There are many dining destinations for lunch and dinner including Sidewalk Bistro. Daout Celestin, owner, formerly of Xavier’s Restaurant, has brought casual French dining to Rockland! This is one of the many outdoor-indoor  favorite cafes in Piermont. Freelance Cafe Wine & Bar is an Art Deco Bistro & Wine Bar and  a local favorite offering a combination of American Cafe Style, French Bistro and Italian Trattoria. Confetti  Ristorante & Vinoteca owner Arturo Lepore brings his unique history and passion for food and is committed to cooking dishes “the same way they are cooked in Italy.” Homemade bread, pastas and desserts are served.

The View on the Hudson is known for weddings and family and corporate affairs. Set against the dramatic Hudson River – any season is a great one to have your wedding or special event here! Known for the continental cuisine, they also offer special menus including Kosher, Korean and Indian. Your event will have panoramic views and unique one of a kind styling.
