Extraordinary hand-made crafts, music, delectable food, children’s entertainment and the spectacular Hudson Valley autumn are all featured September 29 and 30 at Crafts at Rhinebeck Fall Festival in Rhinebeck NY.

Held on the Dutchess County Fairgrounds this juried crafts event features over 250 American artisans displaying and selling jewelry, pottery, woodwork, clothing, and glassware, along with fine and functional art and sculpture of excellent quality and diversity.

“ It is important to us to introduce new artists each year. While over a third of the show represents this policy, many of our craftspeople have a wonderful following here and return year after year. They continue to evolve artistically and their work reflects their dedication to their craft,” said Managing Director, Vicki Imperati. “ I think it is also important to note that the crafts presented here are extremely affordable. You’ll find many unique and beautiful American made crafts for much less money than imported department store items”.

Visitors to Crafts at Rhinebeck are encouraged to bring the family along for a host of children’s activities including a petting zoo, and an opportunity to create educational/environmental art with Lia from Aya Art. While the children are occupied, adults can enjoy a jazz performances by Craig Thaler and his trio and participate in one of the Hudson Valleys’ best wine tastings. All wines are from NYS wineries and proprietors are on hand to explain the wine making process and encourage experimentation with New York’s own excellent wines.

The show is further enhanced with a variety of specialty foods and health and beauty care products. All products in this area are created by small businesses devoted to the kind of quality that is only present in handcrafted items. Offerings in the Specialty Section include: breads, pastries, salsas, jams, jellies, olive oils, marinades, bath oils, makeup and  more.

Crafts at Rhinebeck is open Saturday, September 29 from 10am to 5pm and Sunday, September 30 from 10am to 5pm. The show is held indoors with ample on site parking. Admission is $7 for adults with children under 12 are admitted free. For more information visit www.craftsatrhinebeck.com or call 845-876-4000.
