The magnificence of autumn in the Hudson Valley serves as a fitting backdrop to Crafts at Rhinebeck’s Fall Festival, October 1st & 2nd .  Held on the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck NY, this juried crafts event features over 250 American artisans displaying and selling jewelry, pottery, woodwork, clothing, and glassware, along with fine and functional art of extraordinary quality and diversity.

“ We are pleased to announce a brand new feature of our Fall Festival this year”, said Managing Director, Vicki Imperati.

“Chocolatiers from throughout the Hudson Valley are here for our first “Decadent Chocolate Show”. We will have gourmet, hand-crafted and delicious chocolate for bothsampling and  buying. This show is included with the general admission price.”

Visitors to Crafts at Rhinebeck are encouraged to bring the family along for a host of children’s activities including a petting zoo, storytelling with Ed the Wizard and an opportunity to create educational/ environmental art with Lia from Aya Art. While the children are occupied, adults are invited to participate in one of the Hudson Valleys’ best wine tastings. All wines are from NYS wineries and proprietors are on hand to explain the wine making process and encourage experimentation with New York’s own excellent wines.

The show is further enhanced with a variety of specialty foods and health and beauty care products. All products in this area are created by small businesses devoted to the  kind of quality that is only present in handcrafted items.  Offerings in the Specialty Section include: pastries, salsas, jams, jellies, breads, dips, soups, marinades, bath oils, makeup and more.

Crafts at Rhinebeck is open Saturday, October 1 from 10am to 5pm and Sunday, October 2 from 10am to 5pm. The show is held indoors with ample on site parking. Admission is $7 for adults with children under 12 are admitted free of charge. For more information, directions or discount $1 off coupon log onto www.craftsatrhinebeck.com or call 845-876-4000.
