BOSCOBEL SALUTES VETERANS Entire Month of November 2013

To honor all former U.S. military personnel, Boscobel is offering free house & grounds admission to veterans who show their military ID (or even a photo of themselves wearing their uniform!) at the front desk during the month of November, 2013. The Boscobel Salutes Veterans Program also includes half-price admission for up to five family members per visiting veteran.

Carolin Serino, Boscobel’s Deputy Executive Director said, “We are delighted to offer the beauty and history of Boscobel to those who have served to protect our nation and its heritage. On several occasions, while standing on Boscobel’s great front lawn overlooking the majestic Hudson River and West Point Military Academy, I have been privileged to see American Bald Eagles flying overhead, an inspiring site to say the least. It is my hope that many of our men and women who served in the military, along with their families will enjoy the splendor of Boscobel and its view of American history.”

House & Grounds admission at Boscobel includes a 45-minute, guided tour of the mansion, as well as access to the gorgeous grounds that surround it, including breathtaking views of the Hudson River and a 1.5-mile Woodland Trail. An optional grounds audio tour with exciting Hudson River Valley stories is also available. In addition, enjoy the exhibit on display in the Boscobel Exhibition Gallery through November 30, 2013: Robert W. Weir and the Poetry of Art.

Boscobel is located on scenic Route 9D in Garrison New York just one mile south of Cold Spring and directly across the river from West Point. From April through October, hours are 9:30am to 5pm (first tour at 10am; last at 4pm); November & December 9:30am to 4pm (last tour at 3pm).  Boscobel is open every day except Tuesdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
