Wilderstein Historic Site’s new exhibition “Modern Sculpture & the Romantic Landscape” opens to the public on Sunday, June 3.

Last year’s exhibit was such a success, by popular demand the 2012 Wilderstein tour season will again feature outdoor sculptures by a talented group of emerging Hudson Valley artists installed on the estate’s grounds.

The strong tradition of patronage by the Suckley family during their tenure at Wilderstein combined with the stunning natural beauty and architectural majesty of this historic property makes it an ideal setting for showcasing the arts.  These sculptures will juxtapose with the site’s Romantic landscape and Queen Anne mansion to create a truly unforgettable experience for everyone who visits.

Participating artists include: Jan Abt, Benjamin Ayers, John Belardo, Andy Fennell, Sarah Haviland, Richard Heinrich, Jeremy Holmes, Steve Keltner, Malcolm MacDougall, J. Pindyck Miller and Craig Usher.

This exhibit runs through the end of October.  A preview party to benefit Wilderstein will be held on Saturday, June 2 beginning at 5pm.  Tickets are $25 and reservations are requested.  For more information, call 845-876-4818 or go to www.wilderstein.org.
