Ann Street Market
Staff | July 16, 2012 | CommentSafe Harbors of the Hudson is pleased to announce their annual Ann Street Market on Saturday, August 4 from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM.
The Ann Street Market brings fresh, local food, art and music to the Newburgh community each year. This year, the market will feature a flea market, fresh flowers, antiques, arts and crafts, food vendors, fun activities for children and much more. Live musical performances throughout the day will include William “Prez” Bush and the Dan Brother Band, sponsored by and performing on the roof of The Wherehouse. More musical acts will be announced soon.
Safe Harbors needs you, local farms & farmers, food purveyors, artists, artisans, and musicians. Vendor space is $25 and all proceeds benefit Safe Harbors of the Hudson.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place in the vacant lot on the southwest corner of Broadway and Liberty Streets (next to the Ritz Theater). In case of rain, the market will be held inside the Ritz Theater Lobby at 107 Broadway.
In conjunction with the market, there will be an exciting, two-part art opening at the Ann Street Gallery featuring work by world renowned photographer Dmitri Kasterine. From 6pm-9pm, People & Places, 1955-2011 will be on display inside the Gallery while an open air exhibition of large scale portraits of Newburgh citizens entitled Newburgh: Portrait of a City, will be mounted on the exterior wall of the Ritz Theater for all to enjoy. You won’t want to miss it! The Ann Street Gallery is located at 104 Ann Street, Newburgh, www.annstreetgallery.com
