A Christmas Carol Comes Alive in the Hudson Valley

Jonathan Kruk, a master storyteller, selected “Best in the Hudson Valley” turns Charles Dickens’ classic, “A Christmas Carol” into a theatrical one person performance. J_Kruk_christmas-carol1Dressed in colorful 1840s garb, Kruk assumes the voice to over thirty characters. Add the musical ambiance provided by Jim Keyes on a portal pipe organ, with bells, harp, violin, and chains, and you’ve got a unique dramatic version of old Scrooge’s story. Kruk uses only a few props, yet his sonorous, ever changing voice, along with Keyes’ score, enchants the audience. Performances last about an hour.

Kruk performs his singular version of A Christmas Carol at Olana in Hudson this Friday, December 12th, and again at the Old Dutch Church near Philipsburg Manor in Sleepy Hollow, Saturday, December 20th or Sunday, December 21st.  If you But hurry! Tickets are going fast.
