FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE–February 25, 2014–The Dutchess County Fairgrounds (DCAS Inc.) announces today that a scholarship up to a maximum of $8,000 paid in up to four (4) consecutive years will be awarded to a New York State high school senior.

Preference will be given to a participant in the programs operated by the Dutchess County Fairgrounds (DCAS Inc.). Applicants must submit their applications to the Fairgrounds by May 7, 2014. Visit www.dutchessfair.com for the application and requirements.

Among the eligibility criteria, an applicant must:

DCAS Inc. also announces that ten (10) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to current New York State high school seniors and also to students enrolled in college.  The New York State Association of Agricultural Fairs and the New York State Showpeople’s Association sponsor the scholarships.  Applications must be printed and completed from the web at www.nyfairs.org.
