Mark for Your Calendar for This Year’s Fair: August 19-24
at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds, Rhinebeck, NY

The Dutchess County Fair Exhibitor Handbook is now available online, and registering for the hundreds of classes and competitions at the 2014 Fair can be done completely electronically.

According to Entry Superintendent, Samantha Miller, “You can not only view the Handbook online but you are able to register and pay the nominal fees for the classes from your computer.”

This year’s fair will be held August 19-24 at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck, NY.

There’s still time to produce a potentially brag-worthy, award-winning entry for the 2014 Fair. Exhibit categories include; vegetables, flowers, quilts, crafts, baked goods, antiques, loads of children’s crafts, art projects and much more. Livestock including: sheep, goats, horses, llamas, dairy cows, beef cattle, rabbits and chickens are also well represented in classes on Livestock Hill.

Most entries have an August 1st deadline, but there are exceptions, such as vegetables, flowers and field crops. (Refer to the Handbook for specific deadlines, additional rules and regulations.)

There are lots of town hall, village hall and library locations throughout the Hudson Valley where folks can pick up a hard copy of the Exhibitor Handbook. A partial list includes: Amenia, Beekman, Cinton, Dover, East Fishkill, Fishkill, Hyde Park, Kingston, Lagrange, Milan, Millbrook, Northeast, Pine Plains, Pleasant Valley, Poughkeepsie, Red  Hook, Rhinebeck, Stanford, Tivoli, Ulster, Union Vale, Wappingers Falls and Washington.

Additionally, Cornell Cooperative Extension, Grinnell Library, Mac’s Agway (Red Hook), Hackett’s Agway, (Salt Point), Millerton Agway, Chatham Agway and the Dutchess County Fairgrounds Office will have the books on hand.

Advance adult admission is $12 ( $15 at the gate) and ride tickets can be purchased  for $10 for 20 rides.
