Since 2003, Crescendo presents concerts northwestern Connecticut, the Berkshires, and the mid-Hudson Valley of New York. Founder and Artistic Director, Christine Gevert, is celebrated for her innovative approach to programming and performance. Crescendo’s presents programs of rarely-heard and newly discovered works of early and contemporary music. Crescendo Chorus and Vocal Ensemble are accompanied by the Crescendo Period Instrument Orchestra, and an Andean Ensemble, comprised of professional instrumentalists and the internationally recognized soloists. Educational outreach is realized through Crescendo’s young artist program, and performances and demonstrations at local schools.
