If you’re a fan of Catskills culture and history, you should know about the Hi-Way Drive Theatre. We’ve posted about this Greene County drive-in and popular area landmark in the past (we’re big fans of drive-in theaters), so we were excited to learn via Watershed Post that Hi-Way is the subject of a new documentary short entitled “Enjoy Your Intermission,” which you can watch right now, right here. The story behind the Hi-Way and owners Roger and Sharon Babcock is a heart-warming one, and the short, directed by Tansy Michaud and cinematography by Adam Carboni, focuses on the Babcocks as they face the challenge of switching all four of their projectors over to digital to the tune of around $300,000. Visiting the Hi-Way and taking in a double-feature is super-high on our to-do list for coming to the Catskills during the warmer months, so check the Hi-Way’s schedule when spring rolls around. You can also Like them on Facebook. Meanwhile, we were so excited to tell you about this that we haven’t even watched the 12 minute, 11 second short yet. Off to enjoy our¬†intermission in 3…2…1…
