Saturday, February 2nd – 11:30 AM

Come by the Bear Mountain Merry-Go-Round on February 2nd at 11:30 A.M. for a prognostication of spring’s arrival. The newest member in the long line of weather predicting groundhogs from Trailside Museum & Zoo – Trailside Jack – will look for his shadow and let us know whether or not we have six more weeks of winter.

Join us at the Bear Mountain Merry-Go-Round for a celebration of the coming of Spring, have some hot chocolate, visit the Bear Mountain ice skating rink, or just enjoy the re-dedication of the annual Bear Mountain Groundhog Day celebration. Trailside Museums & Zoo educators and volunteers will lead kid-friendly crafts and games. Bring the whole family!

Hot refreshments will be available at the Merry-Go-Round and also at the Bear Mountain Inn. All the other wonderful winter activities at Bear Mountain will be in full swing. Trailside Museums & Zoo educators and volunteers will lead kid-friendly crafts and games, so bring the whole family!
